We just bought our used 2005 CRD last weekend and have turned 20,000 miles on it. How do we go about transferring the warranty? And what is the best way to find out if it’s due for any recalls? The owners manual came with a (used vehicle buyers) index card from Chrysler that I filled out and mailed off. But I’m not sure how effective this mail off card will be and “when” or “if” I will hear back from Chrysler. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the bumper to bumper warranty becomes automatically active with the new owner. However, I also read that I must pay a $100 dollar fee to keep the drivetrain warranty. If this is the case how do I go about paying and obtaining that warranty? Any Ideas? Thanks!

IIRC you have 30 days to make the transfer. May be wrong but I don't believe the b2b automatically transfers. IIRC the instructions are in the back of the warranty book if you got the original manuals with the Jeep. Check Jeep's website under "owner services" for recall info. You will need the last 8 digits of the VIN#. You can also gleen some info as to TSB's from the update stickers left under the hood (check the underside of the hood and the core support).
