Had the dealer check my LBJ's while there is a slight knock from both sides nothing to worry about yet. Which is far enough. Anyway the new LBJ is not available in the UK yet from Jeep. Having been unable to find a UK based Jeep Forum I am asking you guys Is there a better aftermarket LBJ that I can buy ??? and from where.??? |

Are they available for the 2005? I don't see it listed but maybe there's no difference. |

I'll second the question - does the same ball joint fit 2002 thru 2005/2006? The Moogs listed on the above link (all same P/N) only went thru 2004. I'm going to have to replace the ball joints myself - it needs that recall as well - if I'm going to avoid the dealership getting their hands on mine and doing F37 on a (so far) perfectly good tranny as well. |

Parts link does not show the Moog 3199 for 2005 vehicle. But, if you look at this link from Moog, they have information on the 2002-2005 Jeep Liberty ball joint failure. It's bulletin 27010 on the first link: http://www.moogproblemsolver.com/library.aspx or this link directly: http://www.moogproblemsolver.com/downlo ... iberty.pdf Also, if you use rockauto.com partsfinder, they show TRW, Spicer and AC-DELCO using the same balljoint for the 2002 and 2005 Jeep Liberty. I also found that of those on that site that listed both the 2005 CRD and V6 model balljoint, use the same balljoint, in spite of the heavier weight of the diesel engine. Draw your own conclusions. |
