It looks like the futurecar web site on Discovery channel web site has replaced the cool cars from the show with those that were designed by those graphic students.
That sucks, they had some sweet cars on there one was a sweet little electric coup that could run for over 300 hours on a single charge and was a sweet looking little sports car 2 door, something about under 4 seconds 0-60, and estimated at like 600 foot pounds of torque, but little to no horse power. Oh it got a great charge since it used Lithium which wasnt present in GMs electric car deal. They also had another car with 8 wheels, 2 axels on the front with four wheel steering. Each wheel had its own engine attached to the wheel which also acted as the brake, so 8 wheels, eight independent engines at 100horse power each, you could loose 6 engines and it would still run normally. Looked kinda like a Limo with a fat butt, supposed to be available for purchase in China for 150k. That car seems a bit more practical than most of those future cars, except of course for the Opel.
