Just got back from Moab Last night. Pulled our 4500 lb. travel trailer 720 miles each way. The CRD handled the towing super fashion. Cruised at 65-70. Made it over the Continenta Divide no problem. 16-18 mpg towing.

The Safari was also great. The torq on these things is super! Made it up some steps and ledges that a Land Rover and 2007 four door Wrangler had a hard time with. With the diesel it just climbs up. Did Seven Mile Rim on Saturday, had the only Liberty, did not have to do one go round. Several other jeepers said they were impressed and surprised with the 4WD capability.
FYI, Jeep had a new Liberty on display. They look good. The spare is underneath though. Asked a Jeep rep about future diesels, and he said no plans at the present time in any model except the Grand Cherokee. He said he knew they would sell a million if they ever do put diesels in them.

In my opinion, the Liberty CRD is a great vehicle. What else can pull your RV at highway speeds, then go wheeling with the big boys after you get there? Also met a fellow L.O.S.T. member who was going to go on some really tough trails. Didn't run into him afterwords. Would like to see his report.

Hey, it was good to meet you. You may have already seen them, but I've posted a bunch of pictures, and I'll have more later.

I noticed that you're an insurance agent. Coincidentally, I have been talking to my agent quite a bit the past few days, to see if I can get this fixed:

That was on Kane Creek. KANE CREEK!!! The trail I've done more than any other, without a scratch!!!

Should be a piece of cake. Where are your pictures? How was Steel Bender? My brother loved it, and his wife didn't. Said it was pretty rough.
