JUst bought a '06 CRD with 6400mi last Friday. Doubt it's been flashed because it Rocks! My concern is the usual with this vehicle but I'm willing to pay protection money to keep it a long time. My Jetta and F250 diesels each are 7 & 8 years old and only 100K miles each. So, I would imagine it's not possible to get a Chrysler waranty at this late date. Are there any recommendations for aftermarket companies for extended waranties? |

You can still buy a DC warranty...ask your dealer about prices and check online. |

Thanks. How much was the bill for the service contract? I'll certainly look into it in the morning to see what it covers, etc. Sounds like a good investment from what I've seen on this site. |

Try this one too, cheapest I've found and after you get a quote, check your email for a coupon they send you, ranges from $180-$195. With the coupon, I've gotten the 7yr/100k/$100deduct Max Care warranty quoted as cheap as $1735 for mine. http://www.chryslerwarrantys.com/ |

I paid about $2k for mine; 7 year 100k warranty with a $100 deductible plus free loaner if my CRD is in the shop. So far I haven't needed it; 40k on the odometer. |

So far I haven't needed it; 40k on the odometer. About $1800.00 here with 32K on it. I use my free rental all the time as mine is always in the shop for something. Forking POS! |

Thanks for the replies. I was surprised that I could still get a long term contract on this vehicle. I went to a local Jeep dealer and looked the programs over. They are also a Nissan dealer and had a program from Nissan that they could apply which gave better coverage for less than the DC sponsored stuff. Since I've bought 2 Nissans and a Liberty from them in the past they knocked a couple hundred off. I'm going to go sign up next week. I predict the car rental and 'trip interruption' clauses may be valuable in the future. Thanks again. |

Mine kinda does with damage to boot. Extended warranties worst investment you can make unless you are trying to break that sucker offroad. Your betting you will have a problem buy purchasing an exended warranty. Tell ya what save your cash put $1300 away in a savings account if your jeep does brake down take the money out and get fixed if you sell and never have a problem you get $1300 not bad lol. I bonds right now pay high rates contact your bank. EYE bonds get a grand worth. If you truley belive you need a warranty you bought the wrong vehicle Honda accord should go 100k without any hicups. Id be royaly pissed if i spent $1300 and when it came time for the dealer to make right they will let you down. Gessh it amazes me how folish people are lol, i bought a used jeep 4500 miles sold there extended warranty back to them for $1250 best money i ever made. |

If, for your third post, you're going to insult people you don't know, at least spell it right. |
