good for you bud, how do you get around the ORM issue at the dealer? for that matter, what do they say about the bio? I have an irrational fear that the warranty will be tossed if I run with the ORM and bio, am I paranoid? |

i pulled into my dealer with the ORM and running BIO! They are paying for it because the EGR should have been recalled, and because it wasnt they are sending the bill to DCX. In fact they are telling me that there is a good chance that the reason my EGR didnt fail sooner was due to the Bio... (im at 50K) They also agree that there is no place for an EGR on this motor. But by law they cannot tell me that its ok to run the ORM. They did say that the tech has been know to "forget" to plug everything back in somtimes And for the Bio, being that this dealer in in the middle of hee haw'vill a lot of dum dare farm boys r run'in that there cooking oll' They had a truck in the bay they were working on that had a Grease Car conv kit on, so seeing Bio is nothing new to them |

Cool, I get the idea that my local shop is under the radar enough that they would not fret over some beneficial mods, ie ORM. I asked the parts guy the other day about the CAT fuel filter, he thought it was a great idea. I then floated the ORM as "something I saw online" he kind of grinned and gave me a knowing look, so I guess that is not an uncommon deal for the dealer to see. So far the plug stays unhooked, I have to say that even if I don't get to drive it as often as the wife, I feel better that we are learning about the tricks to keep it happy. |
