What is the best mileage you have ever got on a trip with your baby diesel? I received my best mileage a few weeks ago, I have only been able to pull off this kind of mileage before. Metric (Canada) 7.38 L/100KM Metric (Europe) 13.56 KM/L US Gallons 32.07 MPG Imperial Gallons 38.29 MPG I used this website to find my mileage, its in Canadian, meaning you put in your KMs and Liters, not miles and gallons. http://www.rbcroyalbank.com/RBC:Rlwwgo7 ... oan/gas.pl |

MPG based on "one trip" can be off a bit...that being said...I got 33+ twice on 170 mile round trips...all highway. (Pre ORM) My new engine has not had the chance at summer time driving yet...best to date 28.5 this spring. (ORM and EHM) . I think I will definitely see 30+ this summer. |

Yep 68-70 mph seems to be the best speed for highway mileage...speedo is off of course but 2,000-2150 rpm gets you there fast enuff and with good results. |

With my scanguage I found 100 kph to be the best, any faster and you use more fuel, slower doesn't help either. For me thats 1850 rpm. 100 kph is 62 mph. On the speedo it shows 105/106 while the scanguage shows 100/101. I would love to do more testing on this, its fun! |

I made it 539 miles before I refuled once. The low fuel light wasn't on yet. It held right at 18 gallons when I filled it up (topping off to the top of the fill tube). That's right at 30mpg. |

Talked to a gentleman (local) the other day that has '06 V6 Liberty Sport and he said he averages 17 mpg on the highway. I told him about our Liberty (I didn't say CRD) getting 33 mpg when doing 65 mph and averaging 21 mpg around town. His comment was he wished he had bought the CRD and not the gasser, but salesman talked him out of the diesel. The guy said he was going to try to trade it off this fall because he can't afford a 14 mpg vehicle as a daily driver, he is riding his trail bike every day now to save money. He was really interested in my MB 300D 2.5L Turbodiesel and asked a lot of questions about diesels. He could not believe my MB had 188,000 miles on the clock. The conversation about the CRD and MB sure made my day. |

Latest best: 31.6 by hand 30.5 by evic Phoenix AZ to Las Cruces NM and back 790 miles on 25 gallons I think the mileage would have been better if I didn't do any city driving. There was about 40 miles of big city, also there was a head wind in both directions 20 to 30mph due to thunder storms. Tires at 44psi, ORM, and the ac blowing all the way Made it to 400 miles before the 1/2 mark. Stupid wind I should be able to make it to 500 before the half mark. Anybody make it to 500 miles before the half mark? |

I'm happy if I get 500 kms to the half mark, but that was before I started filling her up to the max. |

28.5 mpg on a run from Hartford, CT to Lancaster, PA was my best. I typically run 75 mph on the highway so run above the optimum. I got 27.0 mpg running from Lancaster, PA to Indianapolis this weekend. I ran 75-85 mph most of the way. |

Averaged about 26 1/2 mpg from home to Port St. Lucie, Fl this weekend. Set cruise at 70 w/AC on the whole way. Lowest price for diesel was $2.549. Have 26,000 on odometer. Wish I could get 30 mpg. |

I got 32 mpg once when it was newer. I think the stars were all in alignment, and the wind was at my tail, and i was going downhill into Kansas. You go down about 10 feet for every mile traveled. Up here in the thin air, we get an average of 26+ on summer fuel. |

I have a 2 1/2" lift and 245's but I occasionally still touch 29mpg. The best I ever got was last year going to Yellowstone we average 33.1mpg cruising at 62mph. The worst I have ever seen is 15mpg. |
