A couple of weeks ago my CRD started missing when I would come off the throttle around 70 mph. When I pulled off the interstate it went into limp mode(wouldn't come out of 2nd gear or go uphill). I checked my Aux. filter, it was full of green particles 2-5 mm across that looked like corn flakes. I changed the goldenrod filter and added biocide but it still would not come out of limp mode (oh oh) after stopping and restarting the engine it ran like a champ. The biocide kind of dissolved the green breakfast cereal in my filter. I bought the fuel from a station by my house which goes through a lot of diesel in a week.
The moral of this story: watch out for green fuel and carry biocide in the summer.
