I know this topic has been discussed on here a while ago but I cannot remember the outcome from those who have had it happen. My Libby, when just coming to a complete stop or taking your foot off the brake to give it gas (sorry, diesel) almost feels like the brakes are sticking. You can feel it in the pedal and it will actually rock the car a little. It kind of sounds like a thud, that's the best way to describe it. The reason I am asking is because I only have a few thousand left on my 3/36 and wanted to see if those who have taken it in to the dealer have actually had this problem corrected, or am I just spinning my wheels? The last thing I want to do is take it in and some someone monkey with it and cause a bigger problem.

The brakes are only covered for 12,000 miles. I know because I just made it under the wire for the rear brakes TSB. I believe that pads, rotors and calipers are considered wear items.

I would think the calipers should not be considered a "wear" item and if that is where the failure is then you might be able to get rotor or pad damage covered too.

This is an ongoing Liberty problem. I would post it on the "general" forum and see what their experience has been on warranty coverage.
