| Post subject: | Knowledgeable New Hampshire CRD dealers? |
Has anyone found a dealer in New Hampshire or a surrounding state that they trust to work on their CRD? I know my dealer can replace EGR components, ball joints and hopefully was able to correctly complete the F37. What makes me a little nervous is the tools, mostly screwdrivers and magnetic probes which I've found under the hood after several of my warranty repairs. It always makes me wonder if they have remembered to put everything back together correctly. |

Hey, I just dropped my rig off at Bonneville and Sons for the F37 and ball joint update. I'll let you know how it goes they said they have diesel mechanics with 10 plus years experience. They also said they sold a bunch of CRDs so thats good. I am trying to get them to install the F37 update without the flash. |

I bought and have had my CRD serviced at Mariano Jeep in Concord. I have had the car 2 1/2 yrs and 50k. Their service dept is good and the diesel tech "Terry" is good as well. The service writers are somewhat clueless due to the small number of CRDs sold (i.e. they suggested oil change at 3,000 miles, etc), but if you have an idea of what needs to be done, they do it fine. However, I have had essentially no problems with my CRD beyond recalls and 1 EGR change at 10k so I don't know if they have the smarts to really figure out a problem. They do sell alot of Dodge diesel trucks and have experience in that area. For the big f-37 recall, they had the whole thing done in about 5 hrs. I purposely did not buy at Bonneville as their service department's reputation with the local Jeep community is less than stellar. Bournival in Portsmouth has such a bad rep that there is a website dedicated to people who have service dept horror stories. Gills Jeep in exeter/stratham is also known for good service (they still even service diesel puegots as well). |

My dealings with the service department have been often contentious bordering on hostile. It seems to be directed towards customers who do their own maintenance. I know they can change EGR valves and TC's and perhaps I should give them another chance. I just get a bad feeling when I find tools bouncing around under the hood after they've done some service work. I'm always left wondering what else has fallen off on the drive home. I realize the tech's are probably under a lot of pressure to push through the jobs. The main reason for this post is I'm considering buying an extended service contract but worry I going to get a hassle on every claim because I've declined their maintenance program. I'm very hesitant to add a Provent or CAT 2 (which I've used on my TDI for 80K with good results) because I expect they may use mods such as these to deny claims. |

I'm in the same boat as you are I want to tweak some stuff on my CRD but I fear warranty issues from the dealer. Seeing Jeep is dodging warranty claims I think I'm just going to let the warranty run out and then do all the mods. Until then if it coughs wrong, to the dealership with it so I can everything fixed before it breaks. I'm at 21k |

They wouldn't do the F37 without flashing the ECU which sux because I just wanted the upgraded pump. |
