I am installing a boost and trans temp gauge on my CRD. I ordered Autometer NV series gauges, which have LED backlighting. I've heard that there can be problems with dimming these gauges with the OEM dash dimmer switch. Autometer's technical people are reccomending a "LED Dimmer Switch" which is supposed to eliminate the problem (that i havent seen yet). It is part #9114. Have those of you who installed gauges (boost) had any problems with dimming the gauges with the OEM dash dimmer switch? Please advise. Thanks!

Mine barely dim at all with the stock dimmer. LED's don't take very much to run and all the stock dimmer does is reduce voltage.
