Well we finally decided to get rid of our Rendezvous and get the Grand Cherokee Diesel. Went and drove one and I am hooked. That thing has great torque. Its interesting though, it has more shoulder room than the liberty but about the same amount of hip room, it does not feel as big inside though especially in the front seats. The rear cargo area is larger though, but not much larger than the 2008 liberty. But man is that engine sweet, very smooth. The price right now is $7000 off of sticker on a Limited, still a lot more than a liberty with the diesel was, but I already have one of those. So we will be an all Diesel family soon.

Why does Jeep sticker the thing so high just to turn around and give a $7000 incentive. They should just price it at $33-34k to begin with, maybe they would scare less people away from buying in the first place.

Just my opinion.

Looks like a sweet SUV, hope you enjoy it.

sticker price seems way off to me also... I priced a Dodge 3500 with a Cummins in it and the sticker was not much higher than a CRD Grand Cherokee sticker. In the $47-50K range.

Plenty of diesles in this family, couple CRDs, CTD, and the farm barrel. Brother and I always like to pay attention to new vehicles, talked about the GC CRD but never have driven one. What makes up the drivetrian and what is the front suspension like?? The price is pretty steep, I know that. Too bad they dont make a bare bones GC CRD. Must not make money....

I've seen a couple of lightly used 2007s with about 10k miles sell for less than 30k on ebay. for that matter I see new and used with 1000 miles ones on ebay for 32-37k. If you keep an eye on ebay or are a little patient you might find one for 10k or more less than sticker.

Of course you can always go and buy a brand new never been farted in one right off the lot too, its your prerogative.
