What are the symptoms? I just got back from a trip parked the jeep for a second, hopped out, got back in, and it was like a clutch slipping and would barely move, then it wouldn't move at all and would roll back when in drive. I checked the fluid at the beginning of the trip, and it was good, still red. I changed the filters and fluid about 6-7k ago.
sorry for the long ramble.

Engine running and Jeep not moving - sounds like a Trans failure to me. Did it get better when it cooled off?

Is there any check engine light or code? If so, knowing those would help the oracles with their diagnosis..? Even knowing there is no CEL is information that can help.

Thx, Mark

No codes.
I have a trans temp gauge and the temp never got over 140 today. Temp is read from the pan (PML).

I'll have to go see if she'll move once she cools off.

I spoke with them late this afternoon. The didn't really look at it once they saw the aftermarket trans pan, so I 'authorized' them to remove it a little before 4. However, their first comment that it won't be covered if it was because the fluid was low and the filter was not immersed in the filter. So I picked up the phone and called PML after looking at their website again. I guess the codes they pulled indicate a pump failure though. I did mention to him that at the F37 recall that the pump was not replaced only the converter. I should know more tomorrow.

Ask them if they replaced the transmission control fuse - nothing goes if the fuse is blown

I forgot to mention, I believe he stated the code they pulled was something about the pump failing....of which it was not replaced @ the F37 recall.

WOOT! Covered under the powertrain warranty. Thank you 2005. I guess the filter neck 'came apart,' starved it of fluid and killed the pump. Sounds like I'll be back up and running tomorrow even. Rosenthal Jeep in Arlington has done me nothing but good!

How does one know if the Stealer replaced the Pump when he did F37?

It should be on the repair 'bill' you get back, but I know I specifically asked when I had mine done.
