Anyone put on enough miles after the SEGR install to have done an oil change? Does the oil show any signs of soot, or is it nice and brown?

Just curious. I've got about 2k to go before my next change.

Hi!! I had 2 old fashioned Mercedes diesels. A 200D and a 240 D non turbo. The oil always turned black! I'm sure that the 200 D didn't have EGR, it was a 1968. Later, my 300 SDL which came with EGR and had some kind of special BB in the vacuum hose also had black oil.

No worries mate! LK :)

I changed my oil immediately after doing the original ORM, and just changed it again after 7300 miles running that way. I'm going to send it in for analysis to see how much it differs from prior changes. At first I noticed it was taking a lot longer to get black, but after 7k it looks just as black as ever.

I've owned a couple of diesels in the past with Renault engines. They had no EGRs but the oil was always as black as the CRD come time to change it.
