Post subject:  vibration when deaccelerating

Has anybody had a problem with vibration when slowing down and coming to a stop. And not from brakes I just replaced my front rotors and pads and the rear pads .This problem started just about a week ago I also get some slight vibration when accelerating but nothing like when I slow down and also it gets worse the warmer the transmission and engine gets. Very disturbing.

Post subject:  Check the following

1) Motor and trans mounts
2) Object that is not part of the Jeep such as a rock, tree branch, wrench, hammer, or other debris that is stuck between the engine and cross member or trans to cross member.
3) Rear drive shaft.

Other memebers may have other ideas.

Thanks for your advice, I had to take it to my jeep only dealer and the tranny mechanic and I drove it around and the first thing he did was go find a steep hill and let it sit a minute and then slowly climb up the hill, he said sometimes when you change the tranny filters the new seal for the flat filter does not get put in all the way and it leaks pressure in the tranny giving you a shutter feeling. passed that test then we drove a little and we duplicated the vibration when slowing down and he said rear u joint, took it back to the shop put it in the air pulled the drive shaft off and whala, one out of four sections of the joint had no grease. The jeep u joint was $79.00 and I asked if we could put one on from Orielly automotive that has a zirk fitting so I could grease it in the future and he said good idea part was only $22.00. He told me he has only replaced rear u joints on the KJs never the front ones. Problem solved total bill $142.00 with tax not bad.

Good to know. I know mine is the driveshaft so I will order a complete set and replace them all.
