CEL light staying on without error code ...

Post subject:  CEL light staying on without error code ...
Something strange happened today ...
I was driving around town ...no problems .... then parked at the shop, let the car idle, for a while (while the wife went into the shop) ...and after a minute or so, decided to switch the car off (women ususally takes a LOOOONGGG time in shops :roll: ) ..
When I switched on the car, the idling went up to around 1000RPM .... I pushed in the accelerator to rev the engine a little bit, but the idling stayed at 1000RPM ... I switched off the engine, and when I switched it back on again, everything was fine ....normal idling, normal driving ... but now the CEL stays on ...
At home I did that little self diagnostic test, where you hold the odometer reset switch in, while turning the key to ACC (I think) ..
The system went through the diagnostic test, but no error codes were displayed in the end ....
I guess the best is to take it to someone that can connect a scanner to it and check the Error code history? .... but I can only do that next weekend ... :( in the mean time ... should I maybe check and see if the CEL goes off after a few km of driving? ...if nothing is wrong with it at the moment, how far will I have to drive, for the CEL to turn off by itself?

Instead of the trip odometer, give this a try. It works on some of the US CRDs depending on the version of software.

You have to do it more than 5 cycles and that wthin 5 seconds - go as fast as you can or else it won't work...

Did it display "done" if not then it didn't work.

P0235 I guess means I must check my MAP sensor connection? .... I took out the MAP sensor the other day to check whether it needs cleaning or not .... the sensor is clean though ...maybe the connection got loose or something .. :?
The P1130 I've got NO clue why it will give that error ..

If your MAP is wrong, that will most definately explain your increased fuel consumption.

I don't know yet what P1130 is but I will try and find it.

P1130 HO2S Circuit Low Variance Bank 1 Sensor 1

I don't even know what an HO2S is - if it's not water in fuel I have no clue about it.

[EDIT] Need reading glasses Ho2S = heated oxyen sensor - I'm now clueless.
