Given the weight and additional internal friction of LT tires, I am thinking that P tires at 40-44psi are probably as efficient or better than LT tires at 60, 70psi. I am running LT LR-D tires at 55psi, which gives a nice ride but still helps add stability with towing. I have my concerns about how much safety margin is left in the wheels and factory valve stems at 50-55psi under the strains and additional weight transfer of towing.

I agree that the P tires will give better mileage, particularly in the city, with stop and go spinning up of the much heavier tires.
I went with 245 75 16 because it fits well with the 2.5 in lift
Then, I got Load E cuz they have thick tread and sidewals for off road puncture resistance
I chose a light weight Load E to try to get back some of the mileage loss compared to P tires.

Since my Evic reads up to 51 psi.... I figure it is likely the TPMS system is rated to that pressure at least.
As for the valve stem issue.... I have not been able to find any info on this? Is this a problem from the past, already solved?

As for the valve stem issue.... I have not been able to find any info on this? Is this a problem from the past, already solved?

I haven't heard any issues on the forum but I can tell you that I have had
2 flats on the Motor home, both on the inside of the dually, both were caused
by cheap valve stems. Push in rubber junk from overseas.
I had all the valve stems replaced with steel ones. I feel more secure now.
