He guys, Is there anywhere on this site or elsewhere that has good info on the specs of the 2.8L? Maybe showing cutaways, explaining features, etc.
I've looked around quite a bit here and at VM's website.
Thanks,
Dave

The factory manual may be your best bet.

I guess I'm spoiled by all that's available about our GM 6.2/6.5 & Duramax engines! Coming up on 30 years of production gives us plenty of time to come up with good material...
I'm just trying to find what ever is out there on this little beauty!
Dave

you could always e-mail them: nfrabetti@vmmotori.com, I didn't have a problem getting a reply to my question:

Cast iron for cylinder block
Aluminium for cylinder head

I just had a quick question, what metal is used to make the motor? Thanks!

Thanks a bunch guys! That is a lot of good stuff. As I said before, with the GM hardware, we've had 28 model years to research. If you go to 'TheDieselPage.com' you'll find articles on almost all aspects of the designs. The CRDs have only been w/Jeep for around 4 years. This site is great and I'm sure as time goes one, we'll build a great data base of CRD related info. You've got a good start already!
Thanks again,
Dave
