Now that I have near 60k miles my mileage has dropped to high teens to 21 MPG. I clean the MAP sensor every 6k. Any suggestions? |

I know it's hard to notice gradual decreases in power but is your power output like it was when new? Also how does your MAP look every 6k  Do you replaced your air cleaner every 6k unless your running a Amsoil (no affiliation at all) What did your mileage drop from?

Do you replaced your air cleaner every 6k unless your running a Amsoil (no affiliation at all) What did your mileage drop from?The map is a little gunked up each time I clean it and I change the air filter probably more than I need to. I get free oil changes from the dealer so I have been using the same 0-40 from the dealer. I wonder if the MAP sensor could be going bad but not bad enough to throw any codes? I was getting 20 to 24 mpgeven towing the boat now I get around 20 when I am not towing and drop into 15 to 17 towing. The boat isn't all that heavy eithor, Fisher Marsh Hawk 165 aluminum deep V with a 50 merc. |
