| Post subject: | Stock suspension measurements?? |
I have a Frankenlift II on order and an install date scheduled. I just took stock measurements on my KJ and now I am curious on where it stacks up compared to others stock units. Looks like I have some sag on the right per my measurements but I expect the Frankie to take care of it. Hope I am right. Here are my measurements: Front left pinch weld – 12 7/8” Front right pinch weld – 12 15/16” Rear left pinch weld – 13 ½” Rear right pinch weld – 14” And the less accurate fender measurements: Front left (center of wheel to bottom of fender) – 18” Front Right – 18 ¾” Rear Left (center of wheel to bottom of fender) – 18 ¼” Rear Right – 18 ¾” Anyone have their stock measurements they can share with me? I am also open to any opinions on the Frankenlift II taking care of my right side sag. Thanks all! Scott |

I measured as someone suggested. Rear of front wheel well on a pinch weld and front of rear wheel well on a pinch weld (a box like fold of metal) Stock 30 cm/11.8" front, 31cm/12.2" rear Lifted 40cm/15.7" front, 41cm/16.1" rear Just put on OME springs and OME front, Rancho rear shocks. My rear shocks make noise, be careful on the install. |

Thanks Robert. From your description, that sounds like the same way I measured. Appreciate the heads up on the rear shocks. I really like the sound of your lifted measurements! Hope I have similar results. Thanks again, Scott |

Basically, unless you know you are on a completely level surface and tire treadwear is perfectly even, take your side to side measurements and average them...then compare to your lifted measurements. |

Pretty sure my measurements were on level surface. They were done under a cement floored carport. I had done some rough measurements some time back at a previous location that told me the same as these measurements, that one side seems to be a bit lower than the other. I expect the lift to take care of that. Hopefully I am right. I'll report back my findings after the lift is installed. Thanks for all the advice, link and tips. Scott |
