Both of which are transmission problems, struck today.

For some time the tranny/TC had been giving me an occasional long time to drop into gear when first started in the morning, and an occasional refusal to disengage for the first stop or two, resulting in a stall unless I whacked the gearshift into neutral.

Took it in about a month ago when it threw a MIL, and they concluded that the tranny filter & check valve were bad and replaced them. After that, it was back to normal, ie occasional long-engage and occasional refusal to disengage/stall.

Yesterday, it did the latter but this morning as I when I went to drag the travel trailer up the driveway, it pulled the same trick that caused me to seek service before: I got halfway up the steep part of the drive, and could not get enough power to the wheels to continue. That was really thrilling, as I'd rather die than try to BACK the trailer down the steep hill. After a restart, it at least managed to power up enough to get to the road. MIL was on, but power seemed normal, so I continued the adventure and took the TT in for service as planned.

Stopped off and sprang for a scan tool at Harbor Freight on the way home. MIL went out for the last leg of the journey, and scan tool showed errors P0700 and P0841. So, it's back to the shop and get THAT looked into.

But the point of the post is, anybody else been down THIS particular road, and what did you learn?

We are on exactly the same road. Currently .. .long time to engange when cold.... occasional rattle and grind sound on first 200 ft of travel.

They tried to fix the problem with the filter switch-out on mine also. This was a TSB

So far I have not had a reoccurance of the "limp" mode.

I , of course suspect the pump seals.
