Is 95 ft/lb correct for the CRD aluminum wheels?

TIA.

While we're talking about wheels has anyone else looked at the rear side of the rims where the spokes meet the rim :?: Being wierd I clean my rims inside and out while rotating them and at 18k miles the clear coating is deteroiating in that area and the metal is turning dark  It's the same on all 5 rims. I hope this is not a sign of problems down the road

Do you do a 5-wheel rotation pattern? Brake dust can be caustic and I imagine there's a lot more of it on the back side of the wheels. BTW, you're not alone. I always clean my wheels inside and out before a rotation/balance so they have no excuse for gunk on the rims messing up the weighting :)

Yes I use the 5 wheel rotation so I can get rid of all 5 bad years at the same time  What I'm seeing is not brake dust, it's actually discororation of the aluminum under the clear coat  Most likely caused by flexing :?:

Thanks. Tightened em to 95 so I guess I'm alright.
Had that # written down in the "book", got it from somewhere, I think the service manual.
I'll recheck in a few days.
