Post subject:  FCV and EGR Location

I was wondering if anyone has some good pictures on where these are located.

My truck was at the dealership for a transmission issue and sat on the dealership lot for 2 months waiting for a part.
Got it back last tuesday and my CD player crapped out on me (and dealership won't do anything, it was working perfectly fine before I gave it to them).
Also, got a CEL, P0101 and P0401 on friday, my assumption being things got a bid sticky from non use and sitting on the lot.

Looking to probably replace the EGR valve, but would like clean the FCV, but just not sure where they are located.

Any picture pointing to part and location would be great.

Thanks
Larry

Excellent question. I got a P401 and P299 and was told by the dealer that the EGR needs replacing. I ordered the part because I did not want to pay $700 and plan to do it myself this Saturday.

I too could use some location pics, I have read the threads that describe the location, but a pic would be marvy!

Do a search as there is plenty of info on this topic on the forum.

I have searched and have found a lot of good explanations, but was hoping someone would have a picture they could provide. There seems to be a lot of things to remove to properly get to the EGR valve and not sure if anyone documented their process with pictures when they did the replacement.

Ok, go to page 2 on this forum and open the Old Navy thread, you'll see some info on location from the service manual.

Yeah....Went outside and still couldn't find it. Hopefully, things will be revealed after component removal.

I am handy enough to be dangerous, but have to agree those diagrams are not very intuitive.
