Loud squeak

Front left half shaft where it goes into the differential has developed a high pitched squeak. It's definitely not the brakes as I had the caliper off and it still sqeaked. It does it forward and reverse. I tried spraying WD40 on it, and that worked for a few miles. Any suggestions?

Is it cyclic (like once per axle rotation) or all the time? Also, are you sure it's coming from there or is that just where you hear it the most?

It is constant, and i'm sure it is from there because wd40 in that spot stopped it. Due to shielding it is hard to see the area.
