I need a recommendation for a dealer (or independent) in the southwest, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico that can help me with my 06 Liberty that I'm going to try and drive from Mexico. It has loss of power and smokes, engine dies and then restarts and runs ok for awhile. |

Check the fuel filter cannister for water in fuel = black smoke - may need to drain the fuel trank Replace the fuel filter - dirty = low power - really dirty\contaminated, may need to drain the fuel tank Replace the air filter - dirty = low power Check both turbo hoses for oil-deteriorated ruptures , particularly the one between the turbo and the charge-air cooler = black smoke, no power |

I find that we must become our own best mechanic to survive the wrongs of the dealers. |

Bill Luke Jeep, Camelback and I-17, Phoenix 602-336-1561 is Earl Gould's number for an appointment Don't let another Service Rep help you. They know the CRD. They take care of business the first time. I've been more than happy for over 2 years.[/u] |
