I did the SEGR to prevent EGR valve failures. I'd have preferred not to have had to do it, but I use the Jeep in remote places and I'm gun shy about reliability. From what I have read, EGR failures have mostly been attributed to soot clogging, so a cleaning probably wouldn't be a bad idea. Just a lot of work.
A ccv filter was high on the list of preventative mods for me, to keep gummy oil from fouling the MAP sensor and eventually clogging up the turbo.
Transmission skid plate was high on the list to, to protect the oil filter. I'd put the v6 airbox mod down as important preventative maintenance in rainy climates.
I run Powerservice in the tank during the winter months, just in case, to prevent fuel gelling. W/ B20 it isn't really necessary, but I have had some close calls.
Because I tow, I'm pondering swapping out the brake pads pre-emptively for some better units (Napa premium maybe). I wouldn't mind installing some beefier rotors/calipers as well.
Lift pump is down lower on the list. If I do it, I'm going to do it simple and install a Facet or something similar in-line on the fuel line, down by the tank.
