I really like the CRD. I just wanted a crew cab diesel. I am going to cut the fenders out with a sawzall and put 33's on it if it is only worth that |

That's a pretty bad offer you got there - but hey, the market is crashed so who'd want to buy your car anyway??? |

The gas KJ's don't have much better trade in value. You can probably still trade for less than you could a year ago. ---------------- Now playing: The Beatles - Get Back via FoxyTunes |

When I went to trade for a GC diesel I went to kbb and went and printed my CRD and the options that the it had. When I went to the dealer they tried to give me $8500 and then I pulled out my sheet from kbb that had the $10450 value on it, and I told them that if they wanted me to buy their vehicle they had to give me a fair price for mine. They gave me 10k because my CRD had bald tires. That piece of paper was worth $1,500 bucks and it took all of 5 minutes to look up and print out. Doing some homework can save you alot of money when doing business. Jason |

Also with the market the way it is dealers are no longer going by blue book but what the auction houses are paying for them. |

Exactly,I told them about NADA etc but they told me about three auction vehicles from the previous few months. They don't want to pay more for mine than they can buy one at auction. Shoot I almost want another one if I could get one for 8 grand..... Luckily I live in a "GREENER" (tree hugger, etc.) area so I should be able to sell it for what I owe as long as I put "biodiesel" in the ad. |

I had a daystar lift on it but took it off a few months ago so I could sell it. The lift is still sitting in the garage |

No different from my part of the world now, I have a buddy that bought an '02 BMW X5 for $44k only 6 months ago and now lost his job so he cannot afford it any longer. Tried to trade it in...got offered $19k...Sold it private for $21k in the end. Bottom line: everyone wants a Prius now so SUV's or 4x4 are a big no no... I'll hang on to my KJ CRD until the wheels fall of. |

Might just be a chrysler thing. GAS and 2WD are two big deductions thats for sure. 4X Diesel should be two huge bonuses. The dealer was just trying to screw me, NADA shows like a 11-12 Grand trade in value for mine. |

Never believe that old auction house lie. 3 different time they told me that and 3 different times, I gathered up all by papers and keys and walked and 3 different times I was stopped at the door and was given KBB. |
