I have EBC rotors and pads.

I replaced the stock equipment at 55,000 miles. My stock pads still had 50% of the material left. If it hadn't been for the front rotors being warped, I would have been happy to wait.

I don't have skid pad testing or anything, but the vehicle does stop better than before. I can't speak of what the longevity will be. If you read the user reviews associated on the links above, some people report a whistling sound when applying the brakes. I haven't heard this. If I have a window down or just listening closely, I hear something that sounds more like a whoosh of air. It's nothing particularly annoying though. The only bad sound I heard early on, I assume because they were still being run-in, was brake squeal. This usually was at driveway speed or during backing up. This seemed to go away after about 2000 miles. I can't say that I've seen a substantial change in the amount of brake dust generated, but I'm not as obsessive as some about tracking this.

You'll see that most people give them good reviews and I'd give them a "thumbs up" so far, but I only have 5000 miles on them. I wouldn't call them inexpensive, but AutoAnything helps out with free shipping. This isn't necessarily an endorsement for those pad and rotors, but I like them so far. I'm just trying to give you an idea of what some of us used instead of OEM.

I personally have had no luck with EBC products on another car, not the Liberty. 1500 miles and they were metal to metal, again different drivinf style and different vehicle. I am getting ready to order a set of DBA rotors from Tire Rack for the front. As for pads I have not found what I am looking for yet, Ferodo. OEM is what went on the rear of the Jeep for rotors and Ferodo pads. The 3 sets of aftermarket discs for the rear did not fit. I had to break down and buy th eOEM Bosch from Jeep.

I put all NAPA ceramic pads + new rotors - stops faster - works great

I did Bendix pads all around and I believe Wearever (Advance) rotors all around. They are a bit noisey now, but I can deal with it.
