Not living in scienceland since I retired last year but that would have worked well in lunch table discussions. |

This is why I never leave home without my heisenberg compensators. |

Rolled or flipped salvage vehicles make me leery... Think of the damage that could have been done to the engine/turbo from oil starvation. Practicing your own Due Diligence is a must in these cases. Cheers, Erik |

Practicing your own Due Diligence is a must in these cases. Not much damage that I can think of. How long will the engine run once fuel pressure drops? About 10 seconds. And the turbo will not suffer at all with no load.

The CRD in the OP does not exactly appear to have been "lightly" rolled. i.e. While slowly navigating Off Road trails or such... Once the wheels lose contact with the road the engine will reach redline very quickly even under light throttle... It is possible for the accelerator pedal to become stuck or floored during a violent crash. Not likely that it would happen often though. Of course this is a consideration I would make if I was planning to purchase that vehicle. Cheers, Erik |
