For a number of reasons the KJ's vary a large degree. Yours is what it is. The Jeepin by Al people give a pretty good explanation of this on their site. |

i understand that there is wear on most of our suspensions... i am just asking for a basis of comaprison and you can take and average of all the different measurements you get ( and i might wait till i have a CRD to start giving suggestions... don't know why there has to be virtual battles on forums... i was taught if i don't have anything to contribute not to say anything |

Seems most people don't get the concept of answering a questions so others can get the info they want, for the need of the question. All Jeeps have quality control and yes there may be slight difference but if you have say two or three people give measurements you can use that as an average ( i think we are going back to algebra here) and use that as a base for where your CRD should be sitting. Also this gives people who have a lift or want a lift to see where there CRD sits and can use it as a comparison for now and future lifts. Also when a question is asked, its is a simple response of intelligent reply that can attribute the better out of people instead of getting nasty results. Questions+Answers= Happy forum |

Actually if the question had been Liberty's - it would have been fairly accurate. However for CRD's - Chrysler was trying to avoid any modifications on the assembly line that's why we all have the same springs, same transmissions, same transfer cases and same wheels/tires minor trim differences. However to the question - the only note I had on mine - was 11" and that was to the bottom of the BoulderBars behind the front tires. didn't measure the back. |

The only meaningfull measurement seem to be center of wheel hub to bottom of fender flare, front and back. Anything else is pretty much useless, because differences in tire size, terrain, etc, can effect it. Also the rock rail could have been mounted to high, or low, be bent, etc etc. That said, i have no idea what mine was new, or stock. I never measured it, i just put the lift on it and smiled :P I think my front is a little bit lower than the rear but it looks fine to me, and i have heard it mentioned that adding clevis lifts to a frankie II'd crd is a bad idea, due to the drivers side cv, I left it alone. I don't see the problem with this users question, I'm sure some here with stock crd's and similar mileage can help you. That said i dont think the crd is particularly prone to excessive sagging, i'd guess that they all sit pretty dang close together. What would seem to have the biggest impact would simply be Mileage. I think pre lift, that my front felt (looked) like it was sagging. That was like 20k mi or so. |

All I can offer is that stock my CRD was about .25-.5 inches taller than the gassers I parked it next to on the lot (late model, not prelowered). If you use google site search to search the CRD section, you should find some threads with this info, as it was talked about. I am too tired tonight to find it, but good luck. |

The CRD springs were 410 lbs/in - The gasser springs are in the 300 lb/in range - and vary according to options so CRDs are different from Gassers - but all CRD's had the same. |
