| Post subject: | EGR position when engine is shut down |
I mounted my Samco hoses today, took me 30 minutes to do both. the hoses work like a cham. The sticker come with the kit looks cool on my rear window. Question. After I removed the intercooler to Intake hose. I can touch and feel a "flap" in the intake. Is this the EGR? If it is, is it normal for it to lay flat when the power is off. Does this mean my EGR is open? I had the CEL about two month ago due to EGR. And, I did SEGR mod + Inmotion remapping about a month ago, after runn ORM for about two weeks. Thanks in advance.. |

That is the fcv. You want it to be open. If the fcv is closed, it is directing egr into the intake. |

The throttle flap closes at shutdown to make the engine more smooth. If it's open, it's really rough. Sounds like it's operating normally to me. |
