Coming from the VW TDI world where people sell timing belt KITS that you can buy I was wondering if I was going to put together all the parts necessary to do a timing belt kit what would I need to complete that kit? I'd like to put togeher two kits. One for the next change and one for a future change!!! |

I don't think there's a kit I'd recommend gasket, tensioner, idler pulleys and maybe even a water pump (and the belt of course) and you need specialty tools to hold the cams in position. |

Same as above, for the amount of work to pull it apart, I would for sure put in a new WP you would hate to get it all together an have it start leaking 500miles down the road, miller tools for this job is a must! 1 notch out on the belt and your in trouble. There is a member who has the tools in the " tech section" I as well have a full set but live in Canada so it would be better to get them from him. or her?? |
