Someone was about to install one. Any news on this? With all the issues many people are having with Suncoasts, I'm holding off until more experience has been gathered.

With InMotion SII and 2 tubes of Dr. Tranny, we still have shudder going up hills when TC is trying to lock without a trailer. (It's a nightmare with a trailer.) The motor clearly has the torque to handle the load (4500lb horse trailer), but having to keep the revs way up so much of the time really kills the mileage and is just flat irritating.

Could be leaky solenoid switch valve or L\R-TCC solenoid in the valve body, or leaky valve body, but I seriously doubt that it is Suncoast related - the Hemi TCC will likely do the same in those chassis' that were prone to shudder even with the oem t\c - it's looking more and more like the problem is related to TCM's management of Electronically Modulated Convertor Clutch via those two solenoids, and a likely reason the factory F37'ed TMR - Transgo could help, but won't cure leaky valve body or solenoids - gonna need a Starmobile monitoring line pressure, % apply, and slip angles at point of shudder

I (can) have very serious shudder and I just hammer it and smile, I know it can be annoying but enjoy the massage.

The only thing I have not done is the TC.

I have since gone to other oil products for a number of reasons why, but I flushed and filled my 545 tranny in the CRD and used Amsoil's UATF. Have never experienced any shudder since I did this at 10K miles and now have over 50K miles. Probably will stick with the Amsoil in my tranny. Still has stock TC and still gets quite a workout once in a while on my farm.

Maybe I just got one of the good CRD's that just doesn't have any tranmission problems. It did shudder occasionally before I put the Amsoil in, but hasn't since.

It does not look like you are using a tuner or an InMotion ECM. I have no shudder problems if I reinstall the OEM ECU. Almost everyone who is putting out more power than stock and is trying to tow heavy loads while keeping the revs down, even with a Suncoast, seems to be having issues.

I got stock everything in the tranny at the moment while waiting for the Hemi TC to arrive. Mine will shudder, but usually in the 30 to 40 klm range just after startup, I can hear the solenoid going nuts and a little rattle in the TC when this happens, other than that once the KJ is wound up she doesnt want to unlock. Really great on the highway runs.
