At 15k for any vehicle that old, especially one where the body alone isn't even worth 5k... He's smoking some GOOD stuff.

That would be like me asking 20k for my CRD, since I just put 8k of repairs into it and its worth about 12k in the book. Hes funny. I will probably end up (if I do the swap into my 97 Grand Cherokee) putting about 3k into that one, b/c I'm not replacing anything behind the transmission. The car is built for the V8, so it can handle the torque easily. But I have no illusions about its value - It isn't worth anything even now, and thats fine. Its paid off, and we are keeping it until the wheels fall off.

Wife may have told him to dump it and get his money back, so he posted it at $15,000.
Since Craig's list does not charge and allows free photos, he is so cheap he only placed a link in the add instead of posting pics.
I posted picks to sell my old $25 snow blower, if he were serious, he would post his pics too.
I hope the Nigerians (Reverend John) offer him a money order and he tells them to come up with the cash.

Fallacies of the selling method aside, they did do a really nice job with the conversion (I think I have that issues at home). I remember thinking I spotted an SEGR kit mounted to the firewall :)

Too bad it doesn't pay that well.
Having done several engine conversions over the years, the worst was putting a Ford Engine into a Ford F250 pickup. Both were inline six cylinders but not the same engine. That may be why you see Chevy engines in Fords, easier job.
I laugh my butt off when an Engineer gets baffled swapping out gear boxes on obsolete equipment to current production. One challenge was swapping an obsolete Sumitomo for a current production Sumitomo, I told the Engineer to call the sales rep. Sales Rep speced out a taper grip bushing to fit the old shaft and it all went together.
Rocket Science :?: :?: :?:

There are four engineers traveling in a car; a mechanical engineer, a chemical, an electrical engineer and a computer engineer. The car breaks down."Sounds to me as if the pistons have seized. We'll have to strip down the engine before we can get the car working again", says the mechanical engineer. "Well", says the chemical engineer, "it sounded to me as if the fuel might be contaminated. I think we should clear out the fuel system. "I thought it might be an grounding problem", says the electrical engineer, "or maybe a faulty plug lead." They all turn to the computer engineer who has said nothing and say: "Well, what do you think?" "Ummm - how about if we all get out of the car and get back in again?"

You forgot about the Civil Engineer who suggested to forget about the car and instead construct a mass transit system...

Just remember: Mechanical engineers build weapons. Civil engineers build targets.
