Today I changed all the drive train fluid less the rear axle. At 33K here is what I found:
Change oil and filter(black as usual)
Change ATF Fluid in 4WD transfer case (was clean)
Change ATF and filters in AT (fluid looked OK, pan was reasonably clean)
Change Gear Lube in front axle(was clean)
Rear axle (skipped)
I believe Jeep warranty wanted much shorter drain intervals then these, and none were really needed, every thing was clean. Must be a profit generator for Jeep plus a double win for them if you have a drive train failure, your warranty is void due to lack of maintenance (that was really not needed.)
During the change, I decided to drill the AT pan and put in a drain plug, I can then change it with each oil change, the only mistake, was I put in on the bottom of the pan, I should have put it on the side. So now I can't go off road, until I get a skid plate, or modify the pan. Well I decided to buy a skid plate for the AT and the transfer case, better then having the plug ripped out of the pan.
