Went to Philly today to get my 2nd 06 Liberty CRD, had to do a few mods to get it road worthy first ORM and UFH

http://home.rr.com/rdonnelly (click photos)

I am just as happy with it, as my CRD LTD, I almost think it may have the GDE tune? It did not feel any different then the GDE tuned CRD I drove to Philly, It did not have any TC shutter, ran the same with the MAF plugged in or out, I can step on the brake and accelerate, I am pretty sure that is some thing the GDE tune allows. Any ways it is from Maryland originally, any members from that area?

The one thing I did not like, is that it had an extra 500 miles on it, then the auction and receipt shows, how should I go about this with the seller? His feed back is 100%, how much is 500 miles of driving MY VEHICLE :x worth?

Another funny thing is I spotted a CRD on the Garden state parkway, a red sport with NJ plates, being followed by me in a black sport, behind me, the wife in a silver LTD. Looked like a CRD convoy 8) The driver of the red CRD was a woman, paying no attention, so I did not bother to blow the horn, I asked my wife if she she the red CRD, and she said no, women just drive them I guess.

Another mishap was the LTD got the infamous CEL for P0093, I will check and see if it is more air, still debating if I should change the head, or just the filter?

As far as mods go, Black is getting a lift, and black wheels when tire time comes, or maybe sooner, could move them to silver when it needs tires.[/u]

A pair to draw to - nice. Your black one is the first that I've actually seen a pic of without the factory fogs. I've read a few posts of rigs without them - but never actually seen one.

Lucky dawg.

Thanks 95.

Yeah, no fogs, oh well, maybe it needs a light bar?

Any ways, it has no GDE tune, the CEL does not even work at all. I hooked up the scanner and it had 2 codes, P0610, it thinks its a standard :? And P0102 caused by the ORM. Yet it seems a lot smoother then my LTD, no shutter in the TC, maybe it has a Sun Coast? Also has more then twice the miles of the LTD.

So I may be going for the GDE tune, just wondering if it will take care of the P0610, because I can clear it, but it comes back in a few seconds?

My yuppie mountain biker friends are gonna think I am crazy owning 2 non compact Jeeps, the all have VW's Subarus , and other Jap cars. When I pull up in my CRD they ask if there is something wrong with it the way it sounds LOL!

Post subject:  How Prius Repellent is created

Open brush type DC motors emit O3 (Ozone) that attacks rubber, trees, grass, and even asphalt pavement (lets not tell Prius owners their motors are sealed so their electric motors don't emit O3  ). When the O3 is ingested by Diesel engines, it is turned into CO3 (A complete total stretch of Chemistry ) which is heaver than air and sits low to the ground. The Prius has a low to the ground configuration and the CO3 is scooped up into the tiny little bitty Prius engine making it loose power. As the tiny little bitty Prius engine looses power the battery kicks in and drains its' self. When this goes on long enough the Prius slows down and even the Diesel Farm Tractors leave the Prius in their dust, YEAH!
Since the Prius causes the problem, Tough $#!t

I know this explanation sounds like some of the Climate Theories.

With all due respect to those of you who Worship Climate Theory Models, the above explanation of how Prius Repellent forms is FICTION (Bull $#!t), any similarity between the explanation and reality is purely coincidental.

It is missing a few things compared to the LTD 06 I have. No controls on the steering wheel, no evic, no cruise control of course. Besides that I still like it.

You can add all those things.

The Green Sport I saw pass in front of the plant I work at had no fogs either. I thought the fogs were standard on 06's.

Does it have the EVIC overhead console?

Well I'll be darned, now there's two of us with a code P0610. I couldn't clear mine so let me know how it goes with yours 8)

I started a Pay Pal dispute with the seller, he is supposed to be a professional a used car retailer, delivered the vehicle, on E, dirty, and an extra 500 Miles on the OD. I told him I want 50 cents a mile, and I will not leave him feed back, since it would not be positive in light of this.

I was originally going to have it transported, wonder if he was going to blame them for the miles?

His Salesman must have liked the way it drove and handled and took it on a long trip.

Good luck with Pay Pal

Yeah, I am thinking they used it for a runner, to pick up another vehicle? As far as I am concerned even 50 miles after I paid for it, is too much.

Good, because the Prius uses permanent magnet motors. I was going to point that out then I saw your disclaimer.

Permanent magnet motors still have brushes, the cause of O3. But with the motor sealed up, no O2 so no O3 can be created.
Toyota will put Argon into the motor housings before they give up on the Prius.

When I was an Undergrad at MSU I worked on a project that treated Hog Crap with O3. It was fun, hand a jar to some one and ask them to identify what the ooze was, they could not tell. Then we would tell them the truth, Hog Crap.
Idiots, even Highly Educated Idiots will believe anything. I would not be surprised if some one is cutting and pasting my post and deleting the disclaimers. Then some idiot who works for an elected official, will try to sneak "Banning CO3 Emissions" into legislation. Then they will ban ultra high altitude flights powered by Jet Engines for fear they eat up the ozone.
It makes me wonder if the Climate Change Hysteria started with an Inside Joke.
When I was a Grad Student, I had a lot of Faculty convinced the Dinosaurs died from a form of HIV.

You're a really funny man warp2diesel ;)

Climate change is real, but the hysteria is awful to listen to. Save some money on fuel and home heating (add more insulation for instance, or get better insulated windows) and you'll have done 10x more than what the politicians are trying to do.
