The water pump for 2005 is part #5093 911ab and has a MSRP of $259. The water pump for 2006 is part #5142 985aa and has a MSRP of $234. Did they really put different water pumps on these two model years?

Nice catch. I don't know that they are different but they do have different part numbers, my 06 cat shows the same as yours, so does my 05.
