I was wondering, if I bought the speciality tools needed to work on our CRD's would any of you be willing to rent them for a reasonable price? You would have to pay shipping both ways, plus authorize your CC charged for the replacement value. Please be sure to reply to this post as well, that way we know you are a serious CRD owner.

I'm at 83K miles - timing chain replacement is coming up and I hear the specialty tools involved are $250 plus--- A rental source would be dandy even if I "sub" out the work as my diesel specialist knows me well and will give me considerations if I make avail special tools if needed-----

I have my own complete set too, all four cases from Miller. Would I rent them out? Uhm, not even with a full deposit. Could you rent them with me attached? Well... I'd have to be presented an offer. Its not that I don't trust anybody here... But none of us know each other from Adam. The reality is someone could give me a "deposit" and consider that as their payment for buying the tools from me... And vanish.

These were hard enough to find in the first place, they aren't leaving me until my CRD does. But when I DO sell them, they will be in as-good-as-new condition. Just like they are now. Seriously, most of the parts have never left the cases - still wrapped in the shipping plastic and tool oil.

Like the Mafia says - Is nothing personal, is just business.
