Does anyone know the hex sizes of the alternator pulley? The stealership wanted more for the tool than the pulley. Might as well get my own made - nice having a production machine shop in the family. I'm separated from my calipers at the moment - the outside looks like a maybe a 17mm or so and I don't currently have an allen wrench with me that will reach the inside bolt without taking the alternator off.

The Hex head is 10mm

The miller special tool is 8433 and yeah it's about the same as the pulley on line so dealer would be more.

torque should be about 60 ft/lbs

You are correct, it is a 17 mm allen wrench. I tried a home made tool, but gave up with this. I took the advice of another Lost forum person, at made up a 17 mm impact socket and used an impact wrench to remove the old pulley and put on a new one. The old one came off easily and I just put the new one on with a few taps.

I made up a 17 mm allen wrench impact socket by getting a 17 mm allen wrench, (they are a common metric drain plug size) and cutting a 1.5" piece off and inserting it into a 17 mm socket.

Hope this is of help. By the way, I believe the nut on the end of the alternator shaft is 10mm.
