Hello All, I was dropping my son off this morning and had to go inside with him. My Jeep was parked in a way that I could see clearly the fuel tank area. I noticed a large wet spot on the driver side rear corner. When I got really close, it smelled like diesel fuel. I am taking my Jeep in immedietly to have this looked at, however, I was curious if this has happened to anyone else. Due to a an unplanned home remodel, our Jeep has been outside that past month, so my first thought is tampering, but I don't want to assume anything. This is a 2005 CRD with 38K. 1. Has this happened to anyone else? 2. If so, what was found to be the problem 3. how much? By large, I mean it covers just the rear corner area. Thank you, Josh |

I had a leak once from the filler tube are of the tank. Only once in 71k miles that I've noticed and nearly every time I fill it up, it's to the top of the tube after the foam dissipates. Didn't come back, don't know why. |
