Ok ive been stranded several times since they worked on it. Tell me what you think i should do. Shift cable was installed backwards and came undone. Crank sensor harness was damaged guess they didnt remove before spliting the case. Now its leaking oil like a sive on my driveway, they messed up the gasket? Caused me alot of stress. I talked to there service manager Larry H Miller in Bountiful Utah he says some oil leak is normal!!!!!!!!! Should i hire an attorney to make them either fix it or try and get all my money back on the purchase? I bought this jeep brand new there in 2005. Ive had all the fuel system issues and non starts as well. Fact service messed up my jeep frosts my iceing. In addtion i checked the autotranny level after the f37 and yes it was low. Dont the jeep dealers know how to take care of jeeps. Price paid $26,500 brand new |

Ok, first off what type of oil is it leaking? Is it engine oil or tranny oil? And second, Leaking oil is not normal. you may get a little bit of oil out of the breather tube, but it is hardly a leak...... |

I have two of these CRDs in my garage, and the floor is clean and dry, that is some typical dealer BS they are feeding you. |

If it is engine oil, they might have forgot to install the copper washer. I had this happen to me. If possible, find another dealer for future service. |

You need to write a very official letter and send it certified mail to the owner, service manager, dealership manager...all of them. Be factual and direct in the letter and give them 10 days to respond with a fix. Refer to the http://www.lemon-law-explained.com/magn ... y-act.html in your correspondence. Let them no in no uncertain terms that you will follow up to the full extent of the law. |

Plus read Sun Tzu "The Art of War", it helps in any negotiations. Also CC Chrysler Jeep, that way they know and will follow up to cover their own assets. |

However, also prepare to be told that Chrysler Jeep has NO liability to you whatsoever, as you purchased the vehicle from a company that no longer exists. Chrysler Fiat sold you nothing, and the very business-friendly judge in NY declared Chrysler Fiat exempt from any prior claims or damages that were the responsibility of the old company. Good luck in this. You will need it. One piece of advice: SAVE EVERYTHING and get EVERYTHING ON PAPER. Hopefully you will have better luck than I did with them. My warranty was canceled by Chrysler's computer, without so much as an explanation OR a reason... And I was told to bugger off. Perhaps this was for the best, since when I needed an engine, I would not have trusted them to even install it facing the right direction. |
