I am going to the States this week and was going to pick up one of these batteries. They are not available in Canada. Good in the cold? Any thoughts?

I've been running one for a year or so now. Very happy with it. Cold here has a different meaning than it does there of course.

They are good units, Sears just renamed them for thier use. More CCA than our factory red tops.

I have a 31 series with 1000 CCA in my motorhome thats about 2 years old. It spins the Cummins 5.9L fast which helps because it don't have an intake heater. It does have a block heater and in very cold climates I must plug it in to shore power or run the on board diesel generator to keep it warm. Otherwise I must spin it up a minute to get it started. I only did that once and I learned.

I picked one up this weekend, group 34, we'll see how it stands up in the cold.

Initial impressions are good. -37C yesterday, very quick starting! Hope it lasts longer than the original Optima.
