First I want to thanks all the experts on here..... you have saved me lots of money over the last few years. My jeep is a 2005 sport and I've done most of the mods suggested on this forum. I'll fix my signature later.

Symptom: lately when I first start the Jeep and take off, the transmission won't shift into OD until I've gone a few miles. but once its warmed up it shifts ok. The question is wheter its normal in this cold weather or do I have something else going on. any insight is greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Spud

This seems to be a standard newb question :juggle: The transmission won't go into OD and the torque converter will not lockup untill the fluid reaches operating temperature  The same page in the owners manual tells you if it starts to overheat it will behave the same

The owners manual is hidden in a shelf on the top of the glove box in a kakie brown fabric pouch :SOMBRERO:

That's the best thing that's happened to the CRD :jester:

Shoot me a PM if you are ever driving through the Lynchburg area, and I'll show you some fun stuff on my CRD. I've got the GDE if you want to test drive one, but you won't be sorry. It really makes the truck so much better. Even with a buggy boost controller, it still drives better than with the stock tune.

Thanks Geordi.... Will do! I've been saving up my money for the GDE tune..... looks like Feb will be the month :SOMBRERO: I've been waiting for the warranty to go out(it did this past summer) before I did too much to it. now for the fun. I'm looking at a 2.5 inch lift, new exhaust, lift pump, and of course the tune.... I think it will be a different jeep.... :jester: :jester:
