Can one tell by looking at the fuel filter head if it has been replaced with the latest model? Also, when did the improved model become available? |

I installed mine in november 08. The new head unit came with a pigtail harness for the fuel heater connection that should be a dead giveaway that the new one is installed. I have not had any problems with the new head unit since. 30k since I haven't even replaced the fuel filter but am going to do it very soon. |

The fuel heater plug on the new unit is maybe 1" wide, where the old one was about 1/2" |
