My son drives our 2006 crd to school. Friday morn in a heavy rain on his way to high school my son hydroplanes on the water runoff and spins twice, hits the ditch, front left tire grabs, digs in to the dirt and flips the liberty. He is ok, uninjured, just shaken. The damage is unrepairable says a local bodyshop. I have always thought I could have some serious fun with the crd as a highly modified offroad vehicle. I was thinking of 44 axles and 38" tires. I was hoping the transfer case would be strong enough for this mod. Any input? Thanks. Edit I just found the SFA build thread. Thanks. |

dritchie wrote: Don't know about the build, but glad your son is OK. Dave Thanks. Not sure on 38's, may be back to 35's. I'm dealing with insurance now. My plan is to buy back. My first thought was to try repair. I'll work on getting pictures up. Thanks for the replies. |

Thanks for the replies. http://www.colorado4wheel.com/images/li ... epair.html That's encouraging information. Our damage is similar, 90% on driver side from front to rear, cab roof and rear right pillar. Looks like it might be an adventure all of it's own. |
