a few weeks ago my driver`s cac hose split open. I duct taped (gorilla tape) till the new samco hoses arrive. a few days after the first split, the same hose split on the other end. Taped it too and waited patiently for the samcos babying the truck go pedal. (best mpg ever had btw)

I have been running ORM and the EH mods since i got the truck with 25k miles. The hoses were not full of oil inside..

Behind this, there was other problem. A malfunctioning Turbo vacuum modulator. it stopped working once (longer time ago), i taped it with a screwdriver and started working again. (makes a buzzing noise when it works, no noise when broke). Didn`t pay a lot of attention since my main transportation is a motorcycle in summer. IF i had, would be 280 bucks richer.

Finally the vac modulator broke completely, allowing the turbo produce spikes of pressure beyond the 30 psi that my boost meeter can read.

There was no CEL, the only difference was a fluttering noise when the go pedal was abused, otherwise the truck worked fine without any indication of malfunction.

I`m left to wonder, if the hoses bursted by a malfunction of the vac modulator or they material giving up to the not very existent deposit of oil...
And i wonder if many have a broken vac modulator but never noticed it since it shines no CEL and they have no boost gauge.. causing their cac hoses to blow.
