This post is for all those new members contimplating making changes to their the OEM fuel head.
Several members here including MrMopar think the original fuel filter head is fine and I agree. To that I'll have to add IF YOU KEEP THE AIR OUT of it.
There are good reasons for going to a better filter and also good reasons for leaving it as is
The best reason for a better filter is your CP3 pump will last forever
The best reason for leaving it alone is IF YOU MESS UP you'll not make it out of the driveway and will need a new pump
It takes very little dirt, water or a short time running dry (without fuel) to kill this or any injector pump.The CRD is "Not your farther's Oldsmobile" or your 4.0L XJ
