I've been pretty sure my thermo is gone. It has been at one notch about 1/4 for months in Michigan winter. Now that it's warm here, I have been using AC. It will actually raise the temp to half way on the gauge. Does this seem right? If the AC is off, but I defrost in the morning or afternoon, the temp stays at the lower notch. It's only when I use AC.

I'm asking, because I'm wondering if there is anything else going on with the electric components that could raise the temp. I don't know enough about the switch that activated the AC, and I don't know enough about what turns on the viscuous heater.

Operating temps should always be at least 176*, regardless of external temperatures. Your tstat is blown.

Yes, using AC in the summer can raise the operating temp... but the problem still remains the same.

Thats pretty much been the behaviour of my temp gauge since I have owned the CRD. I always thought that was normal. Now I'm wondering about my TStat.
