Is there a good write-up on changing the thermostat?

I know that there are four bolts (I was in GDE's garage to look at his block on a stand) and the paper gasket is supposed to be a pain in the butt to get all the way off.

There are 3 horizontal bolts in the tstat housing 2 on the cab side and one on the radiator side + one very obvious bolt on the top of the tstat that secures it to a L shaped clip. If you page through the post about 192 degree thermostats to page 6 there is a picture of service manual removal instructions toward the bottom of the page or you can PM me if you want a "e" copy of the service manual (2006 model yr but mostly the same as for 2005). I've not swapped mine out yet but it looks like it mostly involves getting hoses out of the way and a number of folks have said the gasket removal is a pain.

Thanks for the info. I was going to wait another 6-9 months and do this at the same time as the timing belt, but I'm considering doing the t-stat alone right now to see if it has any effect on my fuel economy.
