I am sure its been discussed before but can anyone tell me what sensor to replace or if I need a TCM or if I need a soleniod pack. The transmission works fine most of the time but certain days it will rebel. Some times at a stop light it will chug shifting in and out of gear fast or faster than you could shift it manually. Other times it will be stuck in a high gear. Takeoffs are sluggish and it wont up or down shift. Turning the key off and restarting will always fix the problem but it may start back up emmediately or may go days with no problems. As always when under warranty the dealer could never find a problem with it. It has EHM done and the MAF sensor unpluged. 89k miles CEL on and full of codes.

Awesome double thread post. Have you checked your fluid level?

Yes many times. Bad part is I used to rebuild automatic transmissions before the electronic age. You know old TH350 and TH400 type stuff.

I dimly recall another member having something like mthis happen to their Jeep; IIRC it turned out to be some stripped wires in the bundle at the TCM connection. Have you checked them to see if anything has rubbed through the loom and caused a cross connection? The TCM is on the passenger-side (starboard) inner fender, behind the vacuum control for the turbo.
